研究主軸Research themes
從制度設計到個人健康，我們用因果推論方法回答「政策是否有效、對誰有效」。五個主軸彼此交織：同一份資料、同一套方法，常常同時回答初級照護、不平等與政策評估的問題。From system design to individual health, we use causal inference to ask whether policies work, and for whom. The five themes overlap: the same data and methods often answer questions about primary care, inequality and policy at once.
初級照護Primary Care
我們評估家庭醫師整合性照護計畫、論質計酬等制度設計，以及癌症篩檢與預防保健服務的利用與成效：制度是否真的提升照護連續性、降低不必要的就醫與死亡？哪些人沒有被篩檢涵蓋？ We evaluate how programme design — Taiwan's Family Doctor Plan, pay-for-performance and team incentives — shapes continuity of care and outcomes, and how cancer screening and preventive services are used and by whom.

我們以準實驗設計檢視公衛措施與醫療量能變動如何改變癌症診斷、肝癌監測等照護的性別與社經差距，並探討家庭結構（如父母年齡、為人父母）與心理健康、篩檢參與的關聯。 Using quasi-experimental designs, we examine how public health measures and shifts in health system capacity widen or narrow gender and socioeconomic gaps in cancer diagnosis and liver cancer surveillance, and how family circumstances relate to mental health and screening.

我們串連學生體適能檢測與全民健保資料，追蹤兒童、青少年的體適能與日後身心疾病風險；並延伸到高齡者，研究功能性體適能（如單腳站立）與醫療利用、全因死亡的關係。 By linking national student fitness testing with health insurance records, we follow children and adolescents into later physical and mental illness, and extend the work to older adults, studying how functional fitness — such as one-leg balance — predicts health care use and mortality.

我們以中斷時間序列、差異中之差異等因果推論方法，評估 COVID-19 防疫措施、疫苗與人流對疫情與醫療照護的影響，並將方法延伸到生育相關政策。 With interrupted time series, difference-in-differences and other causal inference designs, we evaluate COVID-19 measures, vaccination and mobility, and extend these methods to reproductive health policy.

我們開發並以臨床試驗評估數位健康工具（如 JanusChoice、JitBot），並研究 AI 分診架構與健保體系下數位健康的發展與挑戰。 We build digital health tools and evaluate them in clinical trials (such as JanusChoice and JitBot), and study AI triage frameworks and the role of digital health within Taiwan's National Health Insurance.
